Pre-ARR Background:

Ul'dah is full of refugees and hopeful. However, gaining a foothold within the city to make ends meet takes time and effort. The wealth is not fairly distributed, and work is scarce. Desperate, the best way young blood can make a decent living within the walls is in more dubious markets. The underground coliseum. Unlike the showcase of strength that the tourists and dwindling middle class have come to know, this arena has no rules. There are no limits. But there are high bets and anonymous sponsors who will try to bolster the odds of their favorite fighters' wins. F'zheq participated in these rough blood-spilling fights until he became twenty years old. There he earned a nickname, "Fury." He was an untrained fighter starting, defending himself with nothing to lose on vicious instinct alone. He avoided killing, despite some of the demanding chants from the audience while looking down on his incapacitated opponent. But sometimes, his matches left him with no choice. Kill or be killed. When he gained traction as a formidable fighter at eighteen and got his facial tattoos, an anonymous sponsor left a letter for him, which mentioned how fascinated they were by the traditional markings of the sunseekers, it inquired about his lack of such marks. It promised that obtaining these would make him more intriguing and exciting to betters and benefactors. Having always been silently envious of his former clanmates and the miqo'te he saw in town, he set out to get his own set, even if he did not obtain it traditionally back home. The stars, however, were an impulsive addition on his part.At twenty years old, an odd fellow approached him, a hyur with a suave demeanor and striking tattoos on his neck. He encouraged him to try the adventurer's guild; they're taking recruits, after all. F'zheq never looked back.Adventuring was a far more satisfying means of earning an income. It also meant F'zheq did not have to cater to the whims of mystery benefactors or ethically dubious fights.Later after gaining a reputation as a warrior of light, he gladly accepted a position leading a squadron for the Immortal Flames. He is currently a captain.

Tribe and Family Origins:

F'zheq Tia is the product of an affair between his sunseeker mother and an unknown moonkeeper traveler. Tradition promised his mother to the tribe Nunh and therefore committed a severe grievance to the tribe. The Nunh does not recognize him as his family and, thus, not a member of the tribe. His mother cared for him sparingly and secretly as he was largely left to fend for himself. The Nunh knew that he would be potential competition for his position because the young boy was mainly unrelated to the rest of the clan when he grew up. Therefore, cold and neglectful treatment was unofficially encouraged to alienate him from forming longstanding relationships within the tribe. Alas, F'zheq has always been uninterested in being a Nunh. Due to the conditions of his body at birth, he cannot have children. However, only his mother is aware of this. F'zheq does not know who his father is nor that he is half moonkeeper. As soon as he was strong enough to cross the Thanalan deserts at sixteen, he left for Ul'dah.

Noteworthy Heavensward Events:

His most significant scar/injury:

It was during the Dragonsong War that F'zheq obtained his most gruesome scar. A heretic's lance impaled him above his right hip. By a sheer miracle, the weapon missed vital organs. With such a heinous injury, he was unable to continue his fight. The heretics took F'zheq hostage in an icy cavern. The spear and the cold kept him alive; otherwise, he would have bled out too quickly. Though frostbite, necrotic tissue, and infection was significant concern. The heretics use F'zheq as a bargaining chip. They wanted an audience with the Archbishop to voice their cause. However, all they would get was a raid organized by Ser Aymeric.F'zheq had a long and arduous recovery from his wounds in Ishgard. The scar is gnarly, and there is a divot of missing muscle and flesh. It aches, and the remaining muscle there feels stiff in the cold. He might be seen with a slight limp if he did not prepare for inclement weather beforehand. Preparations usually entail potions, salves, and appropriately warm attire that has a stitched pocket for fire crystals on top of his old injury. Nothing escapes Tataru's eye and forethought.

His most precious companion:

Towards the end of his adventures as Savior of Ishgard was when F'zheq found his delightful companion. A small and excitable Pomeranian puppy dubbed 'Chewy.'The pup was the last of an unexpected litter to a family in the Brume. He was the runt. The family had nearly given up on finding a home for the extra mouth they couldn't feed when the child, a young girl, spied on the warrior of light."Ser Warrior! Surely, you'll save this puppy and take him with you?"Well- he couldn't just say no, could he? Especially not after cooing over the big eyes and little eyebrows on its round face. Chewy became a delightful addition to his travels and aided in healing two dear losses close to his heart. Of course, not all travels are safe for such a small creature, and sometimes he must stay back at the Inn for a day or, if longer, with Tataru.

G'raha Tia

Boyfriend

Likeminded adventurous spirits found enjoyment and excitement in one another during the Crystal Tower expedition. At the brink of exploring a potential romantic avenue to their friendship, G'raha sealed himself away in the tower.F'zheq never told anyone about the affection he held for his lost friend. The Crystal Exarch was infuriatingly familiar, painfully familiar. Largely, F'zheq would avoid the man at first, refusing to believe that G'raha was gone and that the tower was inherited by some odd stranger. Though in time, he realized just what about the Exarch made his chest ache. He would see in little gestures or the way he spoke how the man brought up old memories.F'zheq resisted admitting to himself the identity of the Exarch; false hope cost too much. He held his voice right up until he saw his face.He has been unable to stay away from the Archon ever since. Soaking up every minute he can. Time is too precious.
